Job Requirements of 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician:
Bilingual English/Spanish is plus, but not a requirement.
Type of manufacturing: Consumer packaged household cleaners
Second shift is from 1:00PM - 11:00PM M-Th, with some occasional overtime on Friday’s.
Summary
Performs mechanical emergency/scheduled and unscheduled set up and line change-overs, installation, repair and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facility.
Provides development and design recommendations, modification, fabrication and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, assemblies, sub-assemblies, parts, components, and structures as related to machinery, equipment, process, and facility by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
• Preventive maintenance, break downs, additions to or modifications of existing machinery.
• Pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Weld, fabricate, and cut items as needed.
• Work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends.
(No Sundays)
• Contribute to team atmosphere.
• Understand and follow company policies on safety.
• Correct unsafe working conditions.
Utilize hearing, eye and hand protection.
• Know and comply with all aspects of safety including but not limited to Lock-Out/Tag-Out.
• Perform other duties as required to maintain plant safety, operation quality and production flow rate.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial maintenance environment.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic motors and PLC's.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret and draw geometric figures and shapes.
• Ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Must have own tools.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
• Must have a solid background with A.C.
up to 480 volts.
• Forklift experience, certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Maintains a strong attention to detail and accuracy when performing all aspects of the job
• Solid troubleshooting and decision-making skills
• Strong mechanical ability
